[Remote] Cryptocurrency Trading Analyst

They are seeking a Cryptocurrency Trading Analyst to support digital asset market research, trading-strategy analysis, technical research, derivatives monitoring, and risk assessment.


Responsibilities

  • Research cryptocurrency markets across Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins, DeFi protocols, Layer 1 networks, Layer 2 networks, centralized exchanges, decentralized exchanges, derivatives, and blockchain infrastructure
  • Analyze price action, market structure, liquidity, volatility, order books, trading volume, funding rates, open interest, basis, liquidations, exchange flows, and on-chain indicators
  • Develop and evaluate structured trading ideas using technical analysis, market conditions, liquidity, momentum, volatility, relative value, and defined risk parameters
  • Prepare daily and weekly market updates, trade theses, technical reports, risk summaries, asset watchlists, and internal strategy materials
  • Document potential market opportunities with entry conditions, invalidation levels, target ranges, position-sizing assumptions, and downside risks
  • Monitor macroeconomic developments, regulatory announcements, protocol upgrades, token unlocks, exchange listings, security incidents, and institutional digital asset activity
  • Evaluate digital assets based on liquidity, market depth, volatility, token supply, protocol usage, exchange access, ecosystem growth, governance, and technical risk
  • Support research into discretionary, systematic, momentum, mean-reversion, relative-value, basis, and volatility-based trading strategies
  • Maintain market dashboards, technical levels, research databases, strategy journals, scenario models, and digital asset trackers
  • Review historical price data, exchange information, derivatives metrics, blockchain activity, token documentation, and industry research
  • Assist with backtesting, performance attribution, drawdown analysis, and refinement of trading and risk frameworks
  • Collaborate with investment, portfolio, research, risk, operations, quantitative, and technology teams

Skills

  • Professional experience or strong demonstrable knowledge in cryptocurrency trading, digital asset research, technical analysis, derivatives, quantitative research, or capital markets
  • Strong understanding of cryptocurrency market structure, liquidity, volatility, order books, execution, market cycles, and risk management
  • Familiarity with Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins, DeFi assets, centralized exchanges, decentralized exchanges, perpetual futures, options, and blockchain infrastructure
  • Ability to analyze price charts, trading volume, funding rates, open interest, liquidations, basis, exchange flows, and on-chain indicators
  • Understanding of position sizing, stop placement, drawdown control, leverage exposure, portfolio concentration, and capital preservation
  • Experience preparing trading research, technical analysis, strategy reviews, backtests, performance reports, or digital asset market updates
  • Strong financial reasoning, discipline, attention to detail, communication, research, and analytical thinking skills
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work remotely from the United States
  • Experience with a cryptocurrency exchange, proprietary trading firm, digital asset fund, market maker, wealth-management firm, fintech company, or institutional research team
  • Familiarity with tools such as TradingView, CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, DefiLlama, Dune, Token Terminal, Glassnode, CryptoQuant, Nansen, Arkham, Etherscan, Dexscreener, Coinglass, Excel, Google Sheets, Python, or SQL
  • Understanding of spot markets, perpetual futures, options, funding rates, basis trading, liquidation mechanics, stablecoin flows, decentralized exchanges, and automated market makers
  • Experience developing or reviewing systematic strategies, backtests, technical indicators, risk models, trade journals, or market dashboards
  • Knowledge of exchange APIs, automated trading systems, order-management processes, execution logic, and financial data pipelines
  • Understanding of smart contracts, liquidity pools, staking, token economics, governance, custody, and DeFi market risk
  • Background in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, quantitative research, data analytics, fintech, blockchain, or a related discipline
